OHIO Campus Recreation implements ongoing membership options

Ohio University Campus Recreation will be offering ongoing monthly bank debit for memberships at the Aquatic Center, Charles J. Ping Recreation Center and the Golf and Tennis Center.

This new membership option allows members to have automatic memberships with no renewals necessary, until canceled by the member.

“We are introducing ongoing monthly bank debit to benefit our members, especially long-standing members, so that they can sign up and continue participating with no interruption in their membership,” said Brittany Barten, member services coordinator with Campus Recreation. “We are looking to create a seamless experience for all of our members, including a variety of renewal options.”

The new ongoing monthly bank debit option will begin in July and is open to all adult and faculty-staff memberships as well as all OHIO students where applicable. Rates vary depending on facility and membership classification. Ongoing membership options must have a one-year commitment, and members are required to pay their first month when they enroll.

“We continue to encourage OHIO faculty and staff as well as the community to participate with us,” said Barten. “We have a lot to offer including aqua and group fitness classes, a climbing wall, several pieces of cardio and weightlifting equipment and numerous basketball and racquetball courts.”

Aquatic Center members enjoy full access to recreational and lap swim, free towel rental during each visit and swim aids for daily rental. Ping Recreation Center members benefit from unlimited access during operational hours, free daily locker use, access to the climbing wall, group fitness classes and numerous pieces of rental equipment for no additional fee. Golf members will appreciate unlimited 18-hole rounds during operational hours and a free large bucket of balls daily at the Ohio University Driving Range.
