IT Advisory Community: 设备 and 软件 Support
The 设备 and 软件 Support Advisory Community is open to 俄亥俄州 students, 教师, and 工作人员 who have an interest in device support (managed computers and printers, 虚拟桌面, 数字标牌, 等.) and software (licensing, sales, and negotiations).

最近的活动
Advisory communities not only provide a means for participants to engage with 俄亥俄州 IT, but they also provide a platform for 教师, 工作人员, and students to influence technology decisions based on their needs and experiences. In the past several months, this advisory community has:
- As announced at the June 7th meeting, the 设备 Support and 软件 services have combined into one advisory community. This change hopes to promote collaboration and a shared understanding of device and software needs.
- Discussed slowdowns in supply chains that are currently impacting hardware purchases. Computers are on backorder for 2-3 months and A/V equipment for 4-6 months.
- Shared upcoming changes to 技术评论 form so that it better reflects requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, ORC, Section 9.27 and the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation.
- Announced that Adobe Creative Cloud has been successfully updated on about 90% of machines.
- Shared that Windows 11 is now available for users who want it, but that increased device requirements make a "quick push" difficult to achieve. Windows 10 will be retired in October 2025.
- Reminded participants of 资讯科技保安标准, which continue to drive changes in 设备 and 软件 Support areas.

Advisory Community meetings are flexible and open. 任何人都可以参加. To get the most out of the experience, we recommend joining a special Microsoft Team that we have created to keep track of community-related conversations, 文档, 会议日期:

- Check your email for a welcome message with more information on how to get the most out of the online group.
Any time the community meets, an online meeting space will be available inside of Microsoft Teams that you can use to participate remotely. The community's space in Teams also can be used to conduct chat-based conversations outside of scheduled meetings.
We also will post relevant files in the Team, such as agendas and minutes.
How to add Advisory Community meetings to your Outlook calendar
Once you have joined the Community on Teams:
- Locate a post with a purple 日历邀请.
- Select the 日历邀请 and click 添加到日历.

Meetings will take place at least once per quarter with additional sessions scheduled as needed to accommodate time-sensitive discussions or to address demand.
