Green Event Planning
Are you interested in hosting a Green Event at newbb电子平台? 绿色活动 are intentionally planned to simultaneously benefit people, planet and prosperity. Follow the full guide or the check list below to host a Green Event at newbb电子平台 and click the 绿色活动注册 link to register your event as a green event. The 绿色事件符号 should be used in conjunction with the 绿色活动 Guide. We ask that you include it on any promotional materials and, if applicable, show it at the event.请联系 sustainability@俄亥俄州.edu 了解更多信息.
请注意: compost and recycling bins must be ordered through Campus Recycling and Zero Waste work orders. The work order system can only be accessed from campus or through the 俄亥俄州 VPN.
The green events checklist was created by Elle Dickerman '21, with support from the Sugar Bush Foundation, the Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Service, and the 零废物Initiatives. The 绿色活动 Guide was created by Kate Blyth '16 and updated by Elle Dickerman '21.
零废物Initiatives
The Zero Waste efforts at newbb电子平台 are a product of the collaboration between Rural Action and the Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Service as part of the Appalachian Ohio 零废物Initiatives, a program funded by the Sugar Bush Foundation.

达到零废物, 通过定义, one must have a 90% diversion rate of waste going to the landfill. This is achieved by reducing the amount of waste created, recycling or composting the waste instead of throwing it away, and reusing and re-purposing items that are still functional.
Our goal is to work in collaboration with the newbb电子平台 faculty, 工作人员, and students to create a more sustainable campus, specifically through the improvement of waste management programs and Green Event planning resources.
Free and Shared Resources
The 可持续发展办公室 encourages free and shared resources within our communities. Much of the equipment and supplies we own could be used more efficiently and fully if we loaned it out to other members of our community. 既然如此, we have compiled a list of equipment and supplies that our office will share with others. Please fill out the online form if you would like to borrow any of the items listed below.
