A professional studio art degree with a concentration in Art Therapy

This program focuses on the intersection of visual art and mental health. Students will create artwork in a broad range of studio courses, learn about art in context through art history courses, and gain a better understanding of human psychology. In the “Intro to Art Therapy” course, students experience how art can be used as a tool to improve lives.
Students will work with faculty from the Studio Arts, 艺术历史, and Psychology fields to build on knowledge gained through a variety of General, Child and Adolescent and Psychopathology courses, and other curricular requirements meant to introduce a framework for understanding and application of art practices in health and wellbeing.

• Broad foundation in art and psychology
• Degree exceeds the requirements of the American Art Therapy Association for graduate school entrance prerequisites
