Leadership Development Programs

教师 开发ment at Ohio University is intended to support our exceptional faculty in their roles as engaged teachers, 学者, 研究人员, creative artists and service providers throughout their academic career. The following programs and opportunities are intended to support academic leadership 开发ment for 俄亥俄州 faculty.

俄亥俄州 Emerging Leader Academy

The 俄亥俄州 Emerging Leader Academy is a two-semester faculty 开发ment program with the goal of providing future academic leaders with the skills and knowledge to become effective academic leaders. The academy is for full-time 俄亥俄州 faculty with strong leadership potential, a record of achievement in their current and past positions and an expressed interest in administrative leadership.

MAC 学术 Leadership Development Program

Ohio University has joined with other colleges and universities in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) to participate in the 学术 Leadership Development Program (ALDP). The mission of this program is to identify, 开发, prepare and advance faculty as academic leaders in MAC universities.

The program provides an opportunity for up to four Ohio University faculty annually to gain valuable knowledge and experience in academic leadership by working closely with select administrators from other colleges and universities in the MAC.

Provost 教师 Fellows Program

The Provost's 教师 Fellows Program offers a unique faculty leadership 开发ment experience. Working with the Provost's Office, selected Fellows will each have the opportunity to coordinate a University-wide project and engage with administrative and faculty leaders across the University. 项目 provide the Provost's 教师 Fellows with mentoring and insight into higher education administration, as well as help advance institutional goals and strategies.
