教师 development at newbb电子平台 is intended to support our exceptional faculty in their roles as engaged teachers, 学者, 研究人员, creative artists and service providers throughout their academic career. The following programs and opportunities are intended to support mid-career 俄亥俄州 faculty.

意外的惊喜: Mid-Career Community of Practice (SCP)

意外的惊喜: Mid-Career Community of Practice (SCP) is a year-long workshop-series (September – April) designed to support faculty exploration of academic career pathways. The workshops will be held virtually and will provide faculty with opportunities to discuss mid-career challenges/rewards, explore opportunities for post-promotion pathways, reflect on individual strengths, identify areas for improvement, and articulate individual development plans. The registration deadline is early fall semester.

教师 Fellowship Leave Program

At the end of each seven-year teaching period at newbb电子平台, each tenured faculty member having faculty status shall be eligible for a University Fellowship leave. The purpose of the University 教师 Fellowship Program is to enhance the professional skills of the faculty member through further education, 研究, research or creative work. It is the spirit of the program to permit the faculty member maximum flexibility in planning and determining their professional development.

Mentor Leaders: Learning Together FLC

The Mentor Leaders: Learning Together 教师 Learning Community (FLC) provides 俄亥俄州 faculty with the skills and knowledge to become effective faculty mentors. The Mentor FLC is a University-wide faculty mentor training program for faculty who want to effectively participate in faculty mentoring programs across the University.

Professional Development Pathways

newbb电子平台's Human 资源 has developed a comprehensive framework for professional development through its Professional Development Pathways. Pathways encourage, guide and recognize development of skills that are important to employees in a wide variety of positions. Completion of assigned learning experiences is rewarded with badges; specified collections of badges lead to Pathway Completions.
